I began my yoga journey in 2016, just after high school. With a background in gymnastics, cheer, dance, track, and jiu-jitsu, I was always drawn to the relationship between movement, awareness, and wellbeing. From a young age, I discovered that movement can be a powerful form of medicine, inspiring me to explore healing through intention, breath, and mindful practice.
My path led me to a two-year yoga teacher training program through Scottsdale Community College taught by Iyengar Yoga teachers. At the beginning, I remember asking the advisor if there was any way to complete the training more quickly. She laughed and explained that even two years would only scratch the surface. By the end of the program, I understood exactly what she meant. The depth of yoga study, practice, and self-inquiry is truly lifelong.
I continued my studies through an additional two-year Yoga Therapy certification program, where I learned how to support people experiencing common conditions involving the knees, shoulders, back, and other physical challenges. Through consistent and thoughtful yoga practice, many people find relief, strength, and greater ease in their daily lives.
During my pregnancy, I worked closely one-on-one with my teacher and experienced firsthand how supportive and transformative yoga can be during major life transitions. Alongside my yoga education, I also completed a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health through the School of Nursing at Arizona State University.
Today, I live in Polis Chrysochous with my young son, where I continue to practice, study, and teach yoga. I work with students of all ages and abilities — from children to older adults — helping people navigate the waves of life with greater strength, balance, awareness, and resilience through yoga practice.
